Fashion trends and style in 1980’s

The 1980’s were curios because for some reason the fashion wasn´t the strongest point like in 1960's and 1970’s. In these years characters like Princess Diana or Margaret Thatcher were the center of the fashion attention because their dressing styles were copying. In these years the power of dressing gives woman the feeling that they could choose how they want to be.

The main characteristics of the 1980’s were the influence of television series like “Dinasty and “Dallas”, series that became popular because of the decoration of the clothes. Another reason was the women big shoulder, giving a soft masculine effect to the designs. The third reason was that designers have trouble dropping shoulder pads.

The most important characteristics of the 1980’s are Normandy rose jeans, sandals, jean jacket, ripped jeans, heavy eyebrows, playboy bunny shirts, sailor hats, head bands, piercing, drive at movie theaters, etc.
